Monetary Theory and Policy

This course seeks to introduce the student to the main theories and models used to understand money and monetary policy. The objective is for the student to learn not only how monetary economies work, but also why money is valuable, the costs and consequences of inflation, and how monetary and fiscal institutions shape economic outcomes.
